Operator, adviser, coach. I take ownership rather than give advice.
I am Swedish, and I have lived and worked in London, Hong Kong and Athens since 2000. My career has never really followed one functional line. I have run regional businesses, global operations and HR. The common thread has been taking responsibility for whatever the business needed next.
Some of it went well. Some of it taught me what I now watch for. Mostly, that pressure changes how capable people decide long before it shows in the results. That is what I look for first, whether I am running part of a business or coaching the person who runs it.
